Hi there, I'm Yannwen!

I am a direct and action-oriented therapist who encourages growth in a safe space. You will be challenged to examine your personal perspective, actions, and communication style. I will be with you as you explore the sources of your mental health symptoms and work towards modifying and/or accepting the situations/circumstances in which these occur.

My focus

I specialize in anxiety and depression and the way it relates to one's self-esteem, self-worth, relational dynamics, and being our authentic selves. I also specialize in the grief process and how to navigate the complex feelings that come from the loss of someone in your life.

My approach

I am personally familiar with collectivist cultures and the positive and negative relational dynamics that may come from those. I will help you learn how to set healthy boundaries within those contexts.

My communication style

I have expertise with people in polyamorous, open, non-monogamous, and monogamous relationships and how to navigate those dynamics. I believe the best environment to thrive in is with someone who supports you without judgment and will challenge you to grow both cognitively and emotionally.
