I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I’m bilingual in English/Spanish. I have over 10 years of experience helping individuals and families improve their mental health and well-being by developing coping skills to overcome life challenges.

I have experience assisting individuals and families presenting issues related to anxiety, depression, self-love, self-esteem, grief, aging, substance abuse, anger management, trauma, adhd, and stress due to life transitions.

The most common theoretical approaches I use are evidence-based treatment methods such as Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused, as well as holistic approaches involving mind, body, and spirit working as one unit to achieve harmony and balance.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always had a passion for helping people. At first, I just learned the English language to help people with translation/interpretation issues. Later, I realized that there was so much more needed in the world and that I could do more. Since then, I have had rewarding experiences working with clients every day.

In collaboration with clients, I assist them in setting measurable and achievable goals according to each client's needs and presenting problems as well as identifying the steps to accomplish the desired outcomes.

During the first session with a client, a safe, genuine, and trusting environment will be provided to develop a positive client-therapist relationship. In this environment, the client feels heard, understood, and comfortable sharing his/her vulnerabilities while maintaining professional boundaries.
