Hi there, I'm Claire!

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I am passionate about providing a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their concerns and challenges. With a strong background in psychology and counseling, I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to my practice.

My approach

My therapeutic approach draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, and Trauma-Informed CBT. I also incorporate Play Therapy techniques and specialize in Geek Therapy, harnessing the power of gaming, hobbies, and fandoms to facilitate healing and growth.

My focus

I work with children, teens, and adults experiencing a variety of issues, such as trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My specialties also include relationship issues, anger management, grief, self-esteem, and addictions like internet and video game addiction.

My communication style

As your therapist, I aim to create a warm, collaborative relationship built on trust and open communication. I listen attentively to your unique story and tailor my approach to your individual needs and goals. Through our work together, I will support you in developing greater self-awareness, resilience, and the tools to navigate life's challenges.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to mental healthcare began with a deep fascination for the human mind and a desire to make a positive impact in people's lives. Guided by this passion, I pursued my Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in counseling from Sacramento State University. I later earned my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to support individuals and families in their healing journeys.

My goals for you

My ultimate goal is to empower you to live a more fulfilling, authentic life. Together, we will identify and build upon your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and cultivate a greater sense of self-compassion and resilience. I am committed to walking alongside you as you navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and work towards lasting positive change.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will take the time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I will listen carefully to your concerns, gather relevant information about your background and experiences, and collaboratively establish goals for our work together. This initial meeting is an opportunity for you to ask questions, express your hopes for therapy, and determine if we are a good fit. From there, we will embark on a therapeutic journey tailored to your unique needs and aspirations.
