My communication style

Working with me feels like having a “regular” conversation. I aim to have the session flow naturally and try to avoid the robotic nature of “question and answer.” Not only do I hear what you share, but I am also attentive to an individual's body language.

My journey to mental healthcare

I've always had a passion for helping others through active listening and problem-solving. I understand how difficult it can be for those of us from marginalized communities to seek help and push through life's most difficult challenges. We all deserve to be heard and cared for by individuals who look like us or share similar experiences!

My goals for you

Therapy can be difficult. I work with clients to discuss what they plan to achieve, no matter how small or large the goal. Goal setting begins during session one, and as each session progresses, I will provide feedback regarding progress towards stated goals. I encourage clients to become their biggest advocates and empower them to move forward.

Our first session

Clients can expect to provide me with a brief history of why they are seeking therapy. From there, I will give some insight into my background and expertise/expertise and discuss how we can work together to build a positive rapport/therapeutic relationship.
