My communication style

I create a safe space where I use a lot of positivity and humor to support my clients. I can be serious at times, but in the majority of sessions, I let the client set the tone.

My journey to mental healthcare

I chose to go into social work as I love helping people, and I decided to go the clinical route as I was able to help people obtain resources, but also help them through emotionally difficult and vulnerable times when they were at their lowest. I like to be that support for individuals and help them grow to empower themselves.

My goals for you

Goal setting is a collaborative process where the therapist and the client work together to identify areas that are of the greatest need. I like to use SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound) when needed.

Our first session

I like to get to know one another and build rapport, as I know therapy can feel like a one-sided relationship for some people. It is important to build that trust and go over confidentiality.
