Hi there, I'm Carissa!

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist in California specializing in maternal mental health. I support women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, reproductive challenges, and loss using evidence-based approaches including ACT to help clients build psychological flexibility and live more values-aligned lives.

My focus

I primarily work with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, PMADs, infertility, reproductive trauma, pregnancy or infant loss, and relationship stress during the transition to parenthood. I commonly treat anxiety, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, grief, burnout, and identity shifts related to motherhood and reproductive experiences.

My approach

My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based, with a strong foundation in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I help clients build a more flexible relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions while increasing self-compassion and engagement in valued action. I also integrate CBT and attachment-based perspectives when helpful.
