I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is focused on helping clients learn tools to achieve their goals, provide, and support hope and healing in a non-judgmental environment.
My approach
I use various approaches depending on the client and progress. I often use solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches. I also have experience in faith-based therapies.
My focus
I often work with issues of stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, and personal conflicts. I also have experience in dual diagnosis and addictions. Also, I use tools regarding faith-based therapies.
My communication style
I strive for a relaxing and accepting environment, non-judgmental, building rapport, and focusing on client goals and tools to achieve those goals. I encourage feedback from clients as to what can motivate them. A safe environment is essential.
My journey to mental healthcare
I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and the continued progress and growth in continuing to learn and share with others.
My goals for you
After getting a history, I will work with the client on establishing and defining their goals (often about 3 goals). Sometimes the goals will be adjusted as progress moves forward.
My first session with you
In the first session, I learn about the history, any medications, symptoms, and what the client would like to achieve in therapy and explore goals.
