Throughout my career, I have specialized in helping children, adolescents and young adults navigate anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, family conflict, academic struggles, and experiences of abuse and trauma. I enjoy working with diverse populations and integrate a client’s unique cultural background into the treatment process.

I have experience in a variety of treatment modalities and will collaborate with you to identify and implement the approach that works best for you.

My communication style

You set the tone of the session, I will follow your lead. I will listen to you intently and empathically, validate your experiences and follow up with clarifying and/or open ended questions. I will be more or less directive, depending on what works best for you and provide psycho-education as needed/desired.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been a natural helper and caretaker. Prior to becoming a therapist I was a teacher. After teaching at-risk children for several years, I decided to go back to school to become a therapist.

We will work together to create your initial treatment goals, review them together periodically and make changes as needed.
