My communication style

I utilize mindfulness tools with particular emphasis on breathing, visualization, and positivity. I focus on the cognitive domains of gratitude, resentment, forgiveness, and amends as foundational for healthy relations.

My journey to mental healthcare

I grew up in a home with addiction, domestic violence, and other mental health challenges. I survived childhood suicide attempts and gained sobriety and healing through the 12-Step Program, my discovery of Jesus Christ, and many years of therapy.

My goals for you

Goals are intrinsic to the treatment plan, and I utilize a SMART goal-setting format. I focus on what brought you into treatment and match your reason with a practical and pragmatic solution-based framework.

Our first session

I like to get a history of the presenting problem as well as a social/systems perspective of you, which includes your support systems, faith, strengths, and weaknesses. I go over the limits of confidentiality and explain your responsibility to be committed to your healing and growth.
