Hi there, I'm Tracy!

"Dum Spiro, Spero" is Latin for "While I breathe, I hope." Hope is the power we all need in our lives. We have all had times when hope seems hard to find. We may have placed hope outside ourselves in something we have no control over. We may have given away the power and potential that belongs to us as an individual. Hope is a tool for change based on the control we give our thoughts. By being able to change the perception of your thoughts, you can begin to change the perception of who you are and of your life and take back the power that belongs to you. My education comes from the California State University of Northridge, from which I graduated with a Master of Science with distinctions. Over the years since, I have worked with individuals, couples, children, and groups.

My approach

Using CBT, DBT, Narrative, Solution Focused, and strength-based methods, together we will explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to remove obstacles to self-awareness and self-understanding. I want to help clients identify and build upon their strengths, create new behaviors, and discover their power as unique individuals.

My focus

I work with adults and children who struggle with anxiety, depression, and relational issues.

My communication style

I am curious, caring, supportive, and focused on possibilities. I want clients to feel like they can share and be accepted without judgment concerns.

My journey to mental healthcare

Growing up, I have had the desire to help others and the heart of a servant. I have wanted to dedicate my life so that others would benefit from wherever life would lead me. I can't think of anything more fulfilling than to be able to try to help others improve the quality of their life and well-being and possibly see life through a new lens. I believe this journey starts with each individual finding their power within them. While working for different facilities, I have received training for individual, child, family, and couples counseling, parenting, communication skills, and relational issues.

My goals for you

I want to help clients develop and strengthen their sense of self in a safe, non-judgmental environment of acceptance.

My first session with you

During our first session, I will gather information through specific questioning about the client, their background, and the reasons they are seeking therapy at this time so I may create a whole and accurate picture of them.
