Hi there, I'm Angela!

I am an LPCC and have been in the mental health field for about 11 years. My specialty and love is working with clients in the criminal justice system and mental health/drug court. However, I also love working with all individuals to help them create opportunities to change their lives.

My focus

I have gained a lot of experience working with a range of mental health challenges, including highly acute clients with significant diagnoses such as Bipolar and Schizophrenia. I am comfortable working in many settings and would describe myself as strength-based and inclusive.

My approach

The main theories I utilize are Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, Motivational interviewing, and Solution-Focused.

My communication style

I consider myself an active listener and like to come alongside all clients as they decide to make positive changes in their lives. I am supportive and find joy in helping people identify their goals and make them a reality.

I believe that goal setting in therapy needs to be the client's lead, and we can collaborate on what you need and how I can help. I believe that goals will mean more when they are established by you, rather than me.
