My communication style

I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space in therapy. I want you to feel seen and validated. I try to bring in humor and also use metaphors to help explain things in different ways that may provide different insights.

My journey to mental healthcare

As a biracial Asian provider, I am acutely aware of the challenges of trying to assimilate two or more cultures. Also, as a woman and a mother, I have experienced the challenges that come with trying to grow your career while being attuned and present for children. I consider it an honor to be part of someone's journey and witness their growth.

My goals for you

On our first visit, we'll identify what goals are bringing you into therapy and I'll give you some thoughts and insights about ways that I think could support your growth toward those goals. During the course of therapy, those goals may shift and evolve and we'll continue to adjust as needed until you feel that you're in a good place.

Our first session

The first session looks different than a typical therapy session. During an intake, I'll gather information about your current symptoms, the factors bringing you into therapy as well as your family history and work factors. We'll discuss goals that are important to you and put a plan in place for when we'll meet.
