Hello, my name is Meghan Corzo. I am licensed in the state of California as a Marriage & Family Therapist. My pledge is to offer clients a warm and supportive environment, where each person is listened to free of judgment; and that our work together fosters hope and healing.
My approach
My approach to therapy is to provide a warm, empathic space to share thoughts, hopes, and feelings so that possible barriers to a rich and rewarding life can be explored, discovered, understood, and resolved.
My focus
Areas of special interest include Phase of life anxiety (marriage, divorce, relationships, empty nest), EAP counseling/career-related issues), intimacy issues, parenting, adoption, and substance use/addiction counseling.
My communication style
Clients have described my communication style as "gentle, approachable, and disarming".
My journey to mental healthcare
I initially pursued an education and career in Marriage & Family Therapy to better understand my own family of origin relationship dynamics, and now have an interest in attending to the escalating mental health needs among our aching population. In addition to my education and professional experience, I am the mother of four young adult daughters, whose shared experiences have offered meaningful insights both as a parent and a practicing mental health professional.
