My communication style

My hope is that working with me feels collaborative, friendly, and purposeful. I try to balance processing with action steps and welcome feedback. Sessions and approaches are very client-driven.

My journey to mental healthcare

With a double major in Sociology and American studies/business emphasis, I have prioritized studying why humans are who we are and what makes us do what we do. I originally focused on marketing, but found the idea of being a therapist much more satisfying due to its interpersonal nature.

My goals for you

Depending on the client(s), I have a few strategies. With couples working on communication, I might ask if they are monogamous and what that means to them. With teenagers and adults, I might ask who encouraged them to come to therapy or if it was their own idea, and start there.

Our first session

Clients can expect unconditional positive regard, a judgment-free atmosphere, humor, discussion about confidentiality, who they want to have involved in their treatment, goal-setting, what treatment will look like, frequency, treatment history, and insight.
