My communication style

I am an active listener and will work to understand you and your needs. I am relational in my communication and will be a witness to your process. I will add input when I see it's warranted. I am here to hear you and give support through our consistent sessions together.

My journey to mental healthcare

I got my first degree in counseling psychology to get into the field of working with children and families. I decided to return to school for my doctorate in order to better understand the theories and origins of some of the disorders I was trained to diagnose. I found it deepened my understanding of how to better help my patients.

My goals for you

I see therapy as rooted in trust and relationship. Our session together will be a place where you can share anything on your mind or in your body, and I will be there to be a witness to your journey. I will hold the space for therapy to be a safe, accepting space without judgment or shame in any way.

Our first session

Our first session together will be an overview of your reason for seeking treatment and what goals you have for yourself. It might feel like a lot to share with someone you barely know, which we can talk about. Trust takes time to build between us. I hope by the end of our first session, you will have a sense of whether we are a good match.
