My communication style

My way of working is to be highly present and interactive. My methods are not mysterious, and you would always be able to ask questions and understand what we are working on. My approach is straightforward, and I aim to help people make progress by understanding their stuck places and developing skills to move through them.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was a victim of a violent crime when I was a minor. In order to become a healthy functioning adult, I had to learn to work through trauma. In receiving help, I became interested in being able to help others, especially because I became clearer over time about the kind of therapy that did not help much, and what really did help.

My goals for you

From the beginning of therapy, we identify goals during conversations about what parts of life are most stressful. On a regular basis, we check in about those goals.

Our first session

In the first session, I would like to hear from you what you need help with. I will help you to identify patterns of thinking and develop a working understanding of your own psyche. The first session is an opportunity for you to tell me what you need help with and for me to give you some concrete reassurance about how I can help.
