My communication style

My counseling style is warm, interactive, and very much client-centered. I will always meet you where you are at with unconditional positive regard. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. We will build on the strengths you already have and learn to incorporate new thoughts and behaviors.

My journey to mental healthcare

My interest in psychology and working with people began in middle school. I read a book by Viktor Frankl called Man's Search for Meaning. It showed me how important identifying a positive purpose in life. I began my journey by becoming a teacher at a non-public school for students with emotional disturbances.

My goals for you

Successful progress includes identifying how symptoms affect your life, reducing those symptoms, building skills, strengthening support systems, changing thought patterns, modifying behaviors, and integrating your strengths.

Our first session

Our first session will include introductions, a review of confidentiality and scheduling, and an intake form where you'll share your reasons for seeking treatment, symptoms, and goals. It sets the foundation for our work together.
