Hi there, I'm Candice!

I use my background, education, and lived experience to help clients learn coping skills and new ways to decrease their symptoms using skills they learn in therapy.

My focus

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing severe mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm.

My approach

I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I help clients learn to identify problem behaviors and thinking patterns and incorporate new ways to cope.

My communication style

I'll be honest, therapy can be difficult at first. You meet a stranger and are expected to tell them your secrets. In my experience, it takes several sessions to trust a therapist enough to feel comfortable so I like to spend that time getting to know each other. I will never push someone to talk about an experience they are not ready to share.

My life experiences with personal and family struggles are what led me to where I am today. I believe it is important to take what I have learned and share it with others.
