I serve Spanish-speaking clients by focusing on targeting ineffective behaviors and beliefs around mental health issues. I use CBT, trauma therapy, and DBT to treat depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other trauma disorders. Licensed therapist for 4 years plus, and work experience in mental health, domestic violence, and substance use for 15 years.

My focus

I use an array of knowledge from different work experiences to provide compassionate services to Spanish-speaking clients and culturally diverse individuals ages 12 and older who are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other trauma disorders.

My approach

In my approach to treating Spanish-speaking clients, I personalize therapy treatment based on specific clients' culture and life experience while using CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care approach, and psychoeducation to improve the lives of people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use, grief, and other trauma disorders.

My communication style

One of the main goals in my practice is to help people feel respected and valued, starting from the moment they start receiving my services. I encourage clients to be assertive when expressing their needs and values, where diversity and disagreements are important and necessary factors in someone's life.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey in the helping field started about 15 years ago, when I worked in different capacities to help people in the areas of mental health/substance use. I had a deep desire to know more to make a difference when challenged to help people in complex situations. That guided my work and educational path to become a therapist.

My goals for you

I use a collaborative approach to provide individuals with a safe environment where they can express themselves and put their input into achieving their goals. Since I use psychoeducation, one can expect to have simple but efficient homework exercises to complement their treatment goals.
