I approach the therapeutic relationship with a mindset of growth! I take delight when my clients have a willingness to make improvements to better the quality of their lives. Using a solution-focused approach, we work together to overcome barriers such as childhood adversity, conflicting relationships, major life challenges, and losses.

My approach to providing therapy includes trauma-focused, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and working on communication to help strengthen relationships. I enjoy helping clients build tools to help them navigate through life.

My communication style

My communication style is gentle and direct, demonstrating empathy to help clients make their own decisions. I provide a comfortable space for clients to express themselves without fear of judgment, as I want our relationship to be a foundation for building other healthy, supportive relationships.

My journey to mental healthcare

Becoming a therapist for me meant giving the support back to others that I received in challenging times in my life. I can understand the struggles of life and have practiced what I preach in sessions to model a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

My goals for you

Initially, we will discuss the client's goals, as this is what will help determine progress in treatment. We will start by setting small, realistic goals based on their baseline to ensure clients do not feel their goals are impossible to reach.

Our first session

In our first session, we will discuss goals, reasons for wanting therapy at this time in their lives, getting to know more about the client, and relevant history that will help in providing appropriate interventions in treatment.
