Hi there, I'm Iris!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, based in Fresno, California. I have had a broad experience working with individuals, couples, and groups since 1986.

My focus

I help clients with depression, anxiety, life transitions, estrangement, LGBTQI+ issues, and sexual abuse. I'm dedicated to providing compassionate care as you navigate challenges, turning obstacles into opportunities for change and growth.

My approach

I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an existential, present focus. Starting where you are, we exchange information to guide you toward positive outcomes, problem-solving, and increased compassion.

My communication style

I communicate with kindness and empathy, clearly and calmly. I provide a safe space for acceptance, without fear of judgment or criticism, enabling a rapport that builds trust, empowerment, support, coping strategies, resilience, and navigating challenges.

My journey to mental healthcare

Helping others has been my passion since my teenage years, manifesting in social justice action and LGBTQ+ advocacy. I find fulfillment in being part of your journey toward happiness. Practicing mindfulness and gratefulness allows me to best support others.

I endeavor to establish a constructive rapport starting where my client is. Our therapeutic conversation begins and continues with the clearest focus on the individuals’ concerns and goals. This process is collaborative.
