Hi there, I'm Richard!

I work with individuals and couples using Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Gottman, and Psychodynamic approaches in a warm atmosphere with unconditional positive regard. I help you navigate anxious reactions, improve communication, and strengthen relationships.

My focus

I see individuals and couples who want to improve their marriages and are in the middle of a relationship crisis. You recognize your relationship has changed and are interested in making things better. I also prep individuals for marriage counseling when both partners aren't ready to meet together yet.

My approach

I use CBT to help you move from stuck, repetitive negative thoughts to a more realistic picture of events. We'll work through belief systems to calibrate your emotional system, integrating left and right brain modes. This helps you see more clearly under the influence of conflict, stress, or sadness, improving communication and reducing anxiety.
