I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults in a variety of practice settings: juvenile justice, healthcare, and emergency response.

My focus

I am passionate about working with individuals dealing with life transitions and painful experiences. Most clients seek therapy due to something negatively impacting their quality of life. I help clients identify root causes and remove obstacles to satisfying relationships with themselves and others.

My approach

My style is eclectic. I have an integrated approach that is rooted in enriching my client's quality of life through utilizing CBT, client-centered, and trauma-informed frameworks. My goal is to remove obstacles blocking my client's path by helping them identify what those are and supporting them in feeling secure within themselves.

My communication style

I like to establish a relationship with my client that is characterized by genuineness and positive unconditional regard, in order for my client to feel fully seen and understood. I strive to create a non-judgmental environment that is empathetic, supportive, and collaborative.

My journey to mental healthcare

It is a privilege to play a part in the stories of my clients. It's very rewarding to see clients reflect internally, begin the process of healing, maybe let out a forgotten laugh, reclaim their voice, and work towards recognizing how amazing they have always been.

I see goal setting as a collaborative approach, getting your input on your strengths and challenges. I enjoy partnering with you to identify short-term goals that are going to lead us to accomplish your larger goals.

Our first session

The first session is an opportunity to get to know one another as we build rapport. It will consist of asking open-ended questions to get to know you and what brought you to therapy. During the session, I am looking to find out about your history and current concerns, along with what you would like to accomplish in therapy together.
