I am a licensed MFT working with individual adult clients seeking positive change in their lives. I was training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I believe when we change, life changes.
My approach
I prioritize the client-therapist relationship and rapport, I meet clients where they are at, and I see psychotherapy as an opportunity to make positive changes in one's life and shift long-time patterns which no longer serve us. I utilize CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness-based approaches.
My focus
I meet clients in a place where they can see positive change is possible, I prioritize positive client-therapist rapport, and I assign weekly homework so clients can start practicing new tools for positive change to happen quickly.
My communication style
Open-minded, and engaged, I ask many questions.
My goals for you
Positive shifts such as increased self-agency and improved relationships with others and with oneself start happening for clients on the internal and external levels of their lives. Internally means clients start feeling more relief, and more satisfaction and external positive shifts mean they "get" more of what they want from work, relationships, or other areas of their lives they care about.
My first session with you
I inquired as to why the client is seeking therapy at this time, what would change for the client if therapy was successful, and what has been happening for them in the lives that have led them to therapy.
