Hi there, I'm Erika!

I have a LCSW for over 25 years and have worked with various populations. I have worked with Veterans and their families for over 20 years and understand the unique needs of this population and the needs of their families. I also work with those who have chronic health issues, relationship issues, and anxiety/depression.

My focus

I work with people who are struggling with health issues, life transitions, those who have served in the military, and single mothers/fathers. I work with trauma/ptsd, addictions, anxiety, and depression.

My approach

In therapy, I use the Acceptance and Commitment therapy Model, Expressive Arts, and Mindfulness. I have been trained in other therapy models that I do use as needed. With my years of experience, I believe in weaving the knowledge I have to develop a unique therapy approach.

My communication style

I believe that the person knows what they need to heal, and it is my role to help them uncover their inner knowing. I can be gentle but also can be direct when needed.

My journey to mental healthcare

I began my journey as a therapist over 25 years ago, helping those with addiction. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in my journey as a social worker and have worked in various settings. Through these experiences, I bring to my therapy room this knowledge to help you achieve your goals.

I believe goals should be based on your goals and that the goals you want to achieve should be yours and the steps you are willing to take. I believe goals should be subject to change as life changes.

In our first session, we will be exploring what brought you to therapy, your past experiences in life, and your goals. I will explain to you the approach I am using with you and allow time for questions.
