My communication style

In treatment, you will find my communication style to be warm, empathic, compassionate, and supportive. For clients needing to be challenged and held accountable, this is done directly but always with kindness, support, and understanding. There will be no judgement no matter what we discuss.

My journey to mental healthcare

Therapy is my first love and my passion. Since taking my first psychology course in high school, I knew this was my calling. I have worked in adolescent residential, outpatient crisis, community mental health, addictions, and child welfare. Now retired, I feel privileged and excited to focus solely on my therapy practice.

I partner with my clients to set realistic, achievable, and relevant goals that suit your individual needs. We build your treatment plan together, and I welcome your feedback along the way to keep us aligned with your goals and progress.

Our first session

Your first session with me will be exploratory. I will ask you to share your presenting problems and therapy goals, as well as what you look for in a therapist. I will follow your lead and ensure we are a good fit and that we address all your concerns.
