Hi there, I'm Juah!

I have a vast background in mental health, working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My experience as an emergency room nurse and a mental health nurse has equipped me with strong assessment skills, compassion, understanding, patience, and empathy.

My focus

Patients experiencing various mental health conditions have sought care and expressed good therapeutic effects from mood disorder, anxiety, psychosis, compulsive thoughts and behavior, adjustment problems, difficulty controlling their conduct, and secondary sleep problems.

My care approach focuses on active listening and empathy, establishing a safe and supportive environment, and promoting a structured routine with opportunities for mental stimulation and physical activities.

My communication style encompasses active listening; speaking calmly, clearly, and empathetically; asking open-ended questions; and validating the patient's experiences.

My goals for you

The patient is the driver in setting achievable goals. I engage the patient in the process to ensure the goals are applicable and meaningful to their needs and achievable, keeping in mind that 'better' could mean different things to different individuals.

Our first session

At your first session with me, you should expect a thorough evaluation, which includes your medical and psychological history, presenting symptoms, and what worked in the past while establishing a therapeutic relationship. Also, expect to be leaving with a treatment plan that might or might not entail medication.
