My communication style

I like to take a strengths-based approach and help people utilize their own strengths in order to live the life they want. We tend to spend so much time focusing on "triggers" for bad feelings and memories in our lives, and I also like to remind ourselves of the "glimmers" that promote safety, calm, and resilience.

My journey to mental healthcare

We've all had our own journeys and moments in our lives that have led to where we are today. I have always been intrigued by how our minds respond to those experiences in our lives, whether the experiences have been good, bad, or neutral, and what it takes for us to be resilient amidst the tough times.

My goals for you

I want our time together to be productive and helpful for you. We will spend time clarifying what you are hoping to get out of therapy and what you want out of life in general, because my hope is that you can progress and move toward the life you want.

Our first session

Your first session will be a time for us to get to know each other. I will ask a variety of questions to understand who you are as a person and what you are looking for. I will explain my approach, and we will begin to set a plan for our work together and I will encourage you to ask questions if you have any.
