I admire your wisdom and courage in reaching out for help. It is a strength to ask for help when we need it - and we all need it sometimes! I love getting to help people - investing in their improved lives, guiding them into healing, hope, health, and fulfillment. Together, we can not only decrease distress but also increase joy.

My focus

I most enjoy working with clients who are not seeking merely to relieve distress, but to increase joy. Therapists should employ a therapeutic approach that centralizes the idea that you, the client, are much more than a collection of problems to be solved, but are instead a whole and unique person.

My approach

I usually employ a combination of approaches because each client presents a unique combination of personality traits. The eclectic approach allows us to collaborate on a customized treatment plan utilizing multiple therapeutic approaches. We can address even the most complex issues using such a multifaceted approach.

I am an empathetic and active listener, and my goal is to create for us an environment that encourages open communication. I will speak honestly, respectfully, and non-judgmentally to you.

My journey to mental healthcare

My life experiences have contributed to my becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have always been a good listener, discovering at an early age the joy and honor of helping others unpack and resolve their emotional issues. That led me to pursue the education and work experience to become a therapist.

We will use our first session to collaborate on creating goals using the SMART framework (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound). These goals will focus on both short-term improvements in your health and well-being, and longer-term goals centered around healing and lasting change.

Our first session

We will meet, discussing what motivated you to seek therapy and how we can collaborate to address these issues, identifying your goals for therapy as we do this. As we begin to get to know one another, we will discuss possible treatment methods, develop a treatment plan together that is personalized for you, and discuss expected outcomes.
