Hi there, I'm Krystlynn!

I am an individual therapist working with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and career challenges. I also work with the LGBTQ community, especially those who are experiencing gender dysphoria.

My focus

My current client focus is adults, individuals, and often LGBTQ+ folks. I am most comfortable in treating depression and anxiety, navigating life changes, and helping a client figure out what "a better life" looks like and how to get there step by step.

My approach

My counseling style is warm, laid-back, and non-judgmental. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, without stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution-focused, and empowerment methods. I tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique needs.

My communication style

I have a warm style and I have a balance of professional and casual/laid-back. This balance is to reassure folks that I am not a robot and to get a sense of authenticity.

My journey to mental healthcare

Since age 13, I wanted to "not forget how hard it can be" as many lacked understanding or empathy for folks with mental health concerns. This feeling intensified as I got older and went through my own struggles. A college professor suggested I look into therapy, and I haven't looked back since.

My goals for you

I approach goal setting with each client individually to determine the goals THEY want to work on. I try to have ideas, but not an agenda for goals.

I will try to get to know you and the issues that you want to explore. I will also answer any questions that you have and try to make you feel comfortable and heard.
