Hi there, I'm Rachel!
Welcome! I use an intersectional, empowerment, and trauma-informed approach in my work with a strong emphasis on psychoeducation. I believe in a balance of processing as well as learning new skills to improve your mental health for the short and long term.
My focus
I have spent most of my career as a generalist, but I am formally trained in working with adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, panic, depression, bipolar disorder, self-esteem, body positivity, grief/loss, and caregiver support. I also enjoy working with the LGBT+ community, those navigating race, mixed identity, systems, sex, and sexuality.
My approach
I hope to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment (with an appropriate use of humor) for our work together. The therapy relationship is the most important factor in client success, so I prioritize our connection and trust.
