I work with adolescents, adults, and couples and specialize in anxiety, depression, and women's issues.

My focus

I typically work with adolescent and adult clients who are experiencing life transitions and stressors, as well as traumas. I also enjoy working with couples who have had traumas in their relationships.

My approach

My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I use a psychodynamic approach and like to gain an understanding of how past early life experiences may be affecting current functioning. I focus on attachment theory and also use Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT).

My communication style

I have a very easy-going personality and believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important predictor of treatment success. I like to create an environment where my clients feel comfortable, but I also like to challenge them when needed.

My journey to mental healthcare

I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a therapist. I enjoy listening to people and collaborating with them to come up with solutions to help them achieve their goals. I truly enjoy meeting new people and helping them to become happier in their lives and relationships.

Goal-setting is an essential aspect of psychotherapy, as it provides direction, focus, and motivation for both clients and therapists. My approach to goal setting is that we will discuss the goals that you want to achieve in our first session and then track your progress in subsequent sessions.

In our first session, I will ask about your concerns that have brought you to therapy at this time. I will listen to you while asking questions to help me further understand your concerns. I will also ask some questions about your family history, and we can discuss some of your treatment.
