My approach is person-centered and focused on finding ways to cope with challenges, identifying strategies that work best for you, and ultimately finding lasting solutions.

My focus

I typically work with teens and young adults experiencing depression and anxiety. I've also worked successfully with clients diagnosed with ADHD, bipolar disorder, conduct disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia.

My approach

I commonly use cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. I've also used dialectical behavior therapy when appropriate. I believe there's no one-size-fits-all approach, so I take time to understand your goals and identify what will work best for your unique situation.

My communication style

I strive to create a judgment-free, trusting, open-minded environment. I believe it's important to understand who you are on the inside to understand your thoughts and decisions. To truly know you, I learn about your upbringing, experiences, beliefs, value systems, fears, and anything else that shapes your personality and behavior.

My journey to mental healthcare

For most of my life, I was the person people came to for encouragement, advice, and a safe space to talk about their struggles. I found I really enjoyed being a listener and helping others. I'm a helper by nature, and making a difference has always felt like my calling.
