My communication style

My number one priority is to create a safe, inviting, empowering, and supportive space for you. I encourage honesty, feedback, and open dialogue throughout the process. You can expect me to remain calm, patient, supportive, and non-judgmental while you are given space to reflect on your experiences.

My journey to mental healthcare

My plans changed after my first psychology class and hearing about a fellow service member who struggled to adjust after deployment. I knew this individual had physically returned but was struggling mentally, and I wished to help. This led to my discovery of the field of counseling.

My goals for you

The most important ingredient for therapy is creating a partnership between therapist and client. This is the environment in which growth and change can take place. As we work together, goals may change, and that is ok. We will adapt to ensure the goals are relevant and important to you.

Our first session

First sessions are the scariest, I get it. I have been in the chair as well. What you can expect from me is to inquire about who you are, things you like, what you have experienced, and where you would like to be. I wish to gain a better understanding of you and all the different aspects that have made you who you are.
