I am a dual board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner, having obtained my education at Chamberlain University and Regis College. I received honors during my educational career and am a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, Phi Pi Chapter. I use a patient-centered care approach in treating patients.

I have a vast array of experiences and have worked in settings such as inpatient crisis stabilization, corrections, substance abuse/acute detoxification, and outpatient practice. I possess a military background, which is helpful in treating patients who have served in similar roles.

I offer supportive therapy during my sessions with patients and suggest different treatment modalities to assist with mental wellness.

I include the patient in the treatment-decision process, and my calming demeanor and explanations regarding treatment put any worries at ease.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was attracted to a career in psychiatry because I found the subject matter interesting and began working at a local crisis stabilization unit. I see the positive impact that medication can make on patients' lives, which drives me to continue helping others.

My goals for you

I include the patient in the treatment process and provide multiple treatment options when available. I explain what the medications are intended for and how they help alleviate certain symptoms.

Our first session
