Hi there, I'm José!

I provide evidence-based individual and couples therapy. I have expertise in trauma, substance abuse, couples' communication problems, depression, anxiety disorders, and helping individuals deal with acculturation-related stress.

I have developed the competency to work with a wide range of teens and adults of all ages in many different clinical settings.

My approach

My therapeutic approach depends on the needs of my clients but tends to rely mostly on techniques derived from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness while incorporating other techniques as needed.

I establish an open clinical relationship where you feel comfortable sharing all of your experiences without fear of being judged or evaluated.

My journey to mental healthcare

I always wanted to help people as a psychologist. I continue loving my profession, especially when I am able to help people feel better and grow emotionally.
