My communication style

My primary goal is to create a safe, relaxing environment where you can identify and cope with daily problems and internal conflicts like anxiety, fear, trauma, and depression. I work to develop a strong bond with each client, as I believe the therapeutic relationship is the primary tool for growth.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was a Sign Language Interpreter and noticed that many counseling sessions for Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients could be more effective with better cultural understanding. I became a social worker to serve this underserved population and others I have experience with, including students and people with disabilities.

My goals for you

I work with you to identify the symptoms you're experiencing and establish goals to decrease them. Together, we determine what you'd like to work on in therapy to improve your functioning and quality of life.

Our first session

You can expect a relaxed atmosphere where I'll ask questions to understand your history and current challenges. This helps me develop a treatment plan for how we'll proceed and what we'll work on together. The plan is flexible and may change as we go along.
