Finding the right therapist can be challenging, and I want to acknowledge your courage in taking the first step toward creating change. My primary goal is to create a safe space for you to be authentically yourself without fear of judgment.

I specialize in supporting adults navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, or trauma. My approach is warm, authentic, and tailored to your needs, with the goal of helping you find relief, healing, and renewed confidence. I have a special focus on working with LGBTQ+ clients and women over 50.

My role is to create a space where you feel validated, accepted, and understood. Together, we'll identify your concerns and develop practical tools to help you work through them.

My communication style is warm, authentic, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself. I love to use humor when it's helpful, while also knowing when to be direct and compassionate. My goal is to make our sessions feel supportive, genuine, and approachable.

My journey to mental healthcare

I always knew I wanted a career in mental health. I was a teacher before transitioning to counseling, and I've worked with kids in school settings and adults in private practice. I received advanced training in counselor education and supervision, spent time as a faculty member, and now focus exclusively on adults in my solo practice.

My goals for you

I help clients reach their goals by collaboratively identifying what matters most and creating a clear plan for growth. We break larger goals into manageable steps and regularly check progress. I use evidence-based strategies tailored to each client's needs while building on strengths.

In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you and building a supportive connection. I want you to feel safe, comfortable, and heard. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your hopes and concerns, and what you'd like from our work together.
