Hi there, I'm Cheryl!

Are you finding life to be stressful and difficult to cope with right now? Life is challenging, especially now. I approach therapy with the intent of meeting you where you are in your journey. Allow me to share my non-judgmental, compassionate approach to providing a safe space to heal from your past or current experiences.

My approach

I approach therapy with the intent of meeting the client where they are in their journey. My approach is non-judgmental and compassionate, aiming to provide a safe space for you to heal from your past or current experiences. I offer an opportunity for growth in understanding yourself as well as others.

My focus

Are you feeling anxious, depressed, or isolated? I find most people have spent their lives feeling invalidated and misunderstood with no way to express themselves. My specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I am willing to see individuals, couples, families, and minors (ages 13-17).

My communication style

I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to your unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Family Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Attachment-based Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Multicultural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Positive Psychology, Psychodynamic Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

My journey to mental healthcare

I earned my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. This education has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to effectively guide clients on their healing journeys.

My goals for you

My goal is to help you cope with life's challenges, heal from past experiences, and develop a greater understanding of yourself and others. I aim to empower you with the tools and insights needed to navigate difficult emotions, improve relationships, and enhance your overall wellbeing. Together, we will work towards achieving your unique therapy goals in a supportive and collaborative environment.

My first session with you

In our first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and explore your current challenges, concerns, and goals. This will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to share your story and begin your journey towards healing and personal growth.
