Hi there, I'm Marni!

I specialize in helping individuals overcome childhood trauma related to early exposure to neglect, abuse, and unsupportive environments. My experience spans diverse settings serving high-risk populations in crisis.

My focus

I am most comfortable treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, depression with chronic suicidal ideation, and substance use-related addictions.

My approach

Ultimately, I believe in confronting fears and being released from their limitations, empowering for change, and learning to embrace your imperfections (that often come with many strengths). I often use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, and elements of Exposure and Response Therapy.

My communication style

You lead the session, and I am here to support you. Typically, I am straightforward and collaborative. A space is created for you to feel all emotions, even the difficult ones.

My journey to mental healthcare

What drives me to do this work is the clients who deserve support and peace with the pain they have been carrying. I am not only honored to work with anyone who shares their life with me, but I am also constantly growing and learning through my clients.

Goal setting is highly important and needs constant review to address barriers/relevance to long-term goals. I can be solution-focused when barriers are addressed and can be creative in formulating goals/ achieving them to fit your strengths.

You can expect the time and space to address why they are being seen and what you are hoping to get out of therapy, as well as obtain background information about medical, mental health, and family history. All questions are welcome and encouraged.
