Hi there, I'm Amy!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Sarasota, practicing in the State of Florida, with a client base ranging from 3 to 95 years old. Depending on your location, we can meet in person, via telehealth, or a combination of both.

My focus

Adolescents through adults working through adjustment, trauma, and trauma-related conditions (PTSD), anxiety, depression, co-dependency, and SMI disorders, such as MDD, Bipolar, and Panic/Anxiety attacks. I aim to support your goals and meet your expectations while providing positive guidance.

My approach

My main approach is client-centered therapy. Once we have established a foundation, I utilize CBT and other methods and techniques as required to support your unique needs and goals.

My communication style

In my sessions, I strive to cultivate Rapport development in a calm, safe, empathetic, and supportive environment. Your feeling heard is the priority.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey began on a dock where I met a sad woman and asked if she wanted to talk. We talked for about 2 hours. When we said goodbye, she said, 'Thank you for helping me, things look better now'. The rest is gaining knowledge and experience to help life look better for as many people as possible.

Our first session is about getting to know each other. The discussion is centered on what brought you to seek help and to ask any questions you might have about the process, about me, or anything else you would like to bring up. It is mainly to ensure you feel comfortable and want to move forward with me.
