My communication style

My communication style is polite and tactful. More often than not the therapeutic "room" can get tense so I aim to foster a progressive atmosphere in sessions.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a provider... Therapist were always helping my mother while I was growing up. Ultimately it was the impact they had on my mother and my family that won me over. I wanted to do what they could do for people and that's helping people help themselves.

My goals for you

I help clients reach their goals by continually putting the ball back in your court. I'm seeing if you're ready to take steps necessary to reach your goals (or if you're "all talk"). If not, I take a step back and re-evaluate where you are in your recovery or healing process and more accordingly.

Our first session

Our first session is always an assessment. So it's full of questions and answers about your life history and a little bit of your family's history. Through this you'll get a feel for my personality and get an understanding of what's expected of you throughout therapy. Of course you get to ask me questions too, it's only fair.
