Hi there! I'm Nicole and I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for the State of Georgia. I graduated from Brenau University with a Master's degree in Counseling and Clinical Psychology.
My approach
My treatment approach is holistic and eclectic. I believe that therapy should never be a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Everyone heals differently and my goal is to personalize my approach to optimize your growth and overall well-being.
My focus
I enjoy working with clients who are facing problems with infertility, women's issues, or loss of a child. Previously, I have worked with a variety of clients but decided to focus solely on women's health after experiencing my own miscarriage and subsequent infertility issues.
My communication style
I aim to create a safe space for my clients so they can feel comfortable with letting me into the most vulnerable points of life.
My journey to mental healthcare
After experiencing my own infertility and pregnancy issues, I found there was a lack of resources for this particular niche. I wanted to be an advocate for families who face these issues. Infertility can be isolating and I want my clients to have a safe avenue to discuss their fears and frustrations in a therapeutic way.
My goals for you
One of the very first questions I ask is, "What are your goals for therapy"? Then the client and I will work together to put together a treatment plan. Throughout the session, the client and I will discuss the effectiveness of the treatment plan and will update it accordingly.
My first session with you
During the first session, I ask questions- LOTS of questions! The purpose behind this is to get a comprehensive view of the client's past and current lifestyle so we can create an effective treatment plan.
