Hi there, I'm Ravondra LaShay!

As we move throughout our lives, there are instances in which we find ourselves experiencing feelings that can be hard to describe and understand. Anxiety, depression, mood changes, and self-esteem issues are just a few of the elements we encounter in our quest to have a fulfilling life.

My focus

I've had the privilege of working with adults who are dealing with a wide range of challenges, including substance abuse, anxiety, adjustment issues, trauma and stress, anger management, grief, PTSD, postpartum depression, Bipolar Disorder, depression, other mood disturbances, and life transitions.

My approach

My clinical approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailored to meet your unique needs. I understand that seeking therapy can be a daunting step, but I am here to support you through this journey.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the primary vehicle for growth, change, healing, and restoration, and I work to create an environment in which you can feel safe, heard, and understood.

Choosing to become a therapist was a decision rooted in empathy and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. I am empathetic and compassionate, and it has also required dedication, education, and a deep understanding of human behavior. I love seeing the transition.

When approaching goal setting with clients, I consider the following steps: Listen actively to understand needs and desires. Analyze preconceived theories about what they should be doing. Break down goals into smaller, achievable steps. Encourage clients to be realistic about what can be accomplished. Identify potential barriers and address them.
