Hi there, I'm Kenisha!

My name is Kenisha Hardy and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia. I’ve worked in many different settings with individuals and families who have a variety of personal issues such as depression/anxiety, stress, family problems, trauma/abuse, homelessness, relationships/parenting, and more. I have the experience and privilege of serving specialized populations such as those in the HIV, LGTBQ, Military, and Veteran communities.

My approach

I believe it’s very important to be open-minded and non-judgmental when someone shares their personal story or experiences. I believe in treatment that reflects integrity and respect. If you believe counseling/therapy may be something you would like to explore for yourself and work towards your personal growth, it would be my privilege to be that person for you and to provide you support along the way.

My focus

I am here to meet you where you are as this is your space, at your pace. I am only taking clients who are able to engage in care at a weekly level at this time. My specialties include but are not limited to Adolescents/Teens, Aging, Anxiety, Borderline Personality, Chronic Pain, Chronic Illness, Depression, Child Abuse or Neglect, Divorce, Antisocial Personality, Coping Skills, Emotional Disturbance, Infidelity, Grief, Domestic Violence, Cultural Stress, Family Conflict, Job Stress, Panic Attacks, Military, LGBTQIA+, Older Adults, Life Transitions, School Issues, Racial Identity, Sexual Abuse, Relationship Issues, Gender Identity, Self Esteem, Schizophrenia, Trauma and PTSD, Suicidal Ideation, Women’s Issues, Domestic Abuse, and Transgender Issues.

My communication style

My style of communication is typically reflective listening as well as person-centered and compassion-based. Sometimes you may want to engage in a dialogue with feedback and thought-provoking questions. Other times you may have something front and center that you just need a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings and to be able to have a soundboard, both objective and nonjudgmental. Either way, I hold the space needed for you at the time of our connection.
