My communication style

Before everything, there is the need for trust, and I know the onus is on me to be a trustworthy guardian. I listen deeply and without judgment. One of my greatest strengths is modeling healthy boundaries and assisting clients in developing their own.

My journey to mental healthcare

I wanted to be a therapist but lacked understanding of healthy boundaries. I got horses and learned their power to heal wounds. I practiced Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy, then moved to virtual talk therapy, incorporating the healing wisdom and patience I gained from the horses.

My goals for you

I believe goals are important, but it may not be possible to set them in the beginning, as we simply don't know what we don't know. We will develop a therapeutic plan that meets your initial needs and evaluate and modify it as we move forward.

Our first session

A first session is a chance to start getting to know one another. I emphasize trust and collaboration. I generally don't read intake materials until after we meet, as I'd like to hear from you why you're here and what you'd like to get out of our work.
