I encourage transparency and vulnerability, and I model what I expect with my clients while upholding professional boundaries. I check in regularly about how the therapeutic dynamic is feeling, how the sessions are going for you, and how I can best be an ally, a resource, and a supportive presence in your life.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey with therapy led me to want to help others heal from trauma and feel empowered. I know from experience that taking time for oneself is fundamental to well-being. Having someone to create a safe container to explore emotional depths can be a lifeline in a world that can feel fractured and lonesome.

My goals for you

I focus first on building rapport and getting to know my client's strengths, learning styles, and opportunities for growth, then focus on goal-setting. I ask how they would like to be accountable for their goals. As a former educator, I strive to honor each person's unique intelligence, and we identify goals accordingly.

Our first session

You can expect me to be genuinely curious and supportive about what you are seeking by asking and answering questions. I may ask you to expand on intake responses or find out about what is most important to you when beginning to work with a new therapist. If you have worked with a therapist previously, I want to know what worked and what didn't.
