Hi there, I'm Michele!

I'm a clinical social worker who has worked with clients navigating stress, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, career challenges, and major life changes. I use a warm, interactive therapy style built on mutual respect and trust to help you learn new tools and strategies that improve your life.

I currently work with individual adults. I work most often with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, and grief and loss.

My approach

I use various approaches, meeting the client where they are. I typically use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness, and combinations of these.

My communication style

I am warm and interactive, challenging, yet kind. I cultivate a respectful, trusting, compassionate environment that is also very easy, comfortable, and positive.

I have always wanted to help people, am very empathic, and have a great ability for deep understanding and making people feel heard and valued.

My goal for clients is to feel empowered and equipped to make the changes they want to make. I believe in collaborating with my clients to prioritize goals and the most effective ways to achieve them.

Our first session

We will discuss what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. Because it is the initial session, I will also be asking a lot of specific questions to get the required history. You can expect this to take up most of the session, and this is standard for all first sessions with a therapist.
