I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who finds added value in human connection during challenging times in life that a therapeutic lens can add to the support of each client.
My approach
My approach is client-centered and solution-focused. I will meet each client with empathy, open-mindedness, and unconditional positive regard. I believe in working collaboratively with each client to identify challenge areas and to prioritize their healing goals in ways that work with the reality of everyday life.
My focus
Areas of client focus are stress, anxiety, depression, coping with grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ related issues, military and veterans' issues, and life adjustment with loss of motivation, self-esteem, and confidence.
My communication style
Taking the first step the seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process of living a life more in alignment with your values and how you see your best self.
My journey to mental healthcare
Therapy has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have had many experiences with excellent therapists and therapists that did not match well with me and my needs. I developed a desire to be that therapist who shows up and reminds myself and my clients that there is always a choice and a plethora of therapeutic options to meet their needs.
My goals for you
Assisting a client with a vision for the future and working backward from there to today. We can now begin to build a set of long-range and short-range goals to accomplish the desired outcome.
My first session with you
Expect to have a dedicated space and time to share what your goals are for therapy. A time to state what has worked and not worked for you in the past. Time to discuss where you would like to see yourself once our sessions are complete.
