My name is Angeliz Lee and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Hawaii, Texas, and Florida with 15 years of experience. I work mostly from a Solution-focused and Cognitive Behavioral therapy approach to help you achieve your goals. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming what is challenging you.
My approach
My approach to therapy depends on my clients and what they are coming to therapy for. I mostly work from a solution-focused approach and a Cognitive Behavioral approach.
My focus
I work with a variety of clients ranging from children to adults. I also work with families and couples. I have worked with clients with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, military life issues, adjustments, and family issues/parenting. I work with you to develop healthier habits and a more positive outlook in life.
My communication style
My communication style is warm, calm, and personable. I want to make you feel comfortable and not judged during your time with me.
My journey to mental healthcare
Growing up I always said I wanted to help others. I believe we all have a purpose in this life and I know that being a therapist is mine. I love being able to be there with you on this journey of bettering yourself in whichever aspect brought you here. I am truly grateful to be able to do this for a living and that reflects in the way I am with my clients.
My goals for you
I like setting goals together during sessions. I utilize that time to set measurable goals to track progress during the course of therapy.
My first session with you
Clients should expect to be heard and understood. The first session is our time to get to know each other and understand what brings you to therapy. I use this time to explore more about what's going on so that I can provide the best path for the rest of our sessions.
